Hello, I’m, Kelly, the creative mind behind Snazzie Pants.

I first learned to sew when I was a little girl. My mom sewed and the sewing machine was always available. Like many girls, my first sewing projects were scrunchies and doll clothes. As I hit my teens I moved away from sewing. I wouldn’t fully embrace sewing again until my late twenties.

What started with a few purses for myself blossomed into something more and Snazzie Pants Upcycled Fashions was born. Making purses and accessories from thrifted clothing became a passion and I decided to turn it into a side hustle. For over seven years, I showcased my creations at craft shows and markets, sharing the joy of upcycled fashion but I decided I wanted something more.

As a software engineer, I always say that my job is more about creative problem solving and I have found that I bring that same mentality to sewing. Some of my favorite sewing projects have been when I collaborated with my daughter to make elaborate costumes. As an artist, my daughter would draw detailed designs and it was up to me to figure out how to make her vision a reality. I loved the challenge!

In October of 2023, I decided to close up my craft show booth and embark on a new adventure. I am going to focus on sharing my patterns and techniques that brought my designs to life. It’s a new chapter for Snazzie Pants, and I’m excited to embark on this journey of education and creativity with you.

I’m not just here to share my knowledge; I want you to be part of the adventure. Whether it’s trying out new sewing techniques, crafting your own wardrobe, or unraveling the mysteries of patterns, we’ll do it together.

Sewing is more than a skill; it’s a journey of self-expression and creativity.

Good luck with your sewing adventures!

Kelly
